Watch webinar on demand: The power of intrinsic motivation

Why do we do the things we do? What drives our behaviors? Can we move away from relying on monetary rewards?

In this 45-minute webinar, Limeade chief people officer Dr. Laura Hamill and Aduro chief performance officer Dr. Toni Best explore these questions and dive into the research behind motivation.

Extrinsic rewards are great to promote initial action but they don’t encourage ongoing positive behavior change. Intrinsic motivation is related to performance, work effort, creativity, retention and higher job satisfaction.

Here’s what we learned: Instead of thinking of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation as antagonistic to each other (or the need to choose one or the other), consider them together and in certain situations.

“Employee engagement and intrinsic motivation go hand-in-hand — when engaged, employees are intrinsically motivated.” – Dr. Laura Hamill
