Laura Hamill, Ph.D. Appointed Chief People Officer at Limeade

Employee Engagement Expert Reinforces Company’s Commitment to Research and Innovation in Health, Well-Being, Performance and Culture
Limeade, an award-winning employee engagement technology company, appointed Laura Hamill, Ph.D. to Chief People Officer. Laura is the founding Chief Scientist of Limeade and co-architect of the Limeade Well-Being Assessment, the first and most comprehensive well-being assessment model. The assessment is often the starting point for personalized and evidence-based employee improvement plans.
“Appointing Dr. Hamill as Chief People Officer is our way of saying, ‘We are committed to being a great company,’” said Limeade CEO Henry Albrecht. “She has helped some of the biggest and best companies in the world build intentional and high-performing cultures; she brings expertise in evidence-based organizational psychology; and she lives our values. She brings a palpable energy to Limeade.”
In her new role, Laura will lead the People (Human Resources) team and consult on product and analytics strategies. Reporting directly to Henry, Laura will be responsible for nurturing the Limeade culture of innovation, developing groundbreaking people practices, and architecting employee engagement strategies for Limeade and its 100+ enterprise customers.
“Limeade has proven the connection between health, well-being, performance and culture – so being here is inherently attractive to me,” said Laura, who has consulted for Limeade since its founding. “I also love how Limeade pushes the boundaries around the role the HR function plays. We’re totally committed to our people. My goal is to build a company that helps employees feel energized about doing their best and most meaningful work.”
Laura specializes in applying behavioral science to the workplace. She is experienced with implementing culture change, creating competency models, crafting effective acquisition and integration strategies, and conducting employee research. She has worked with Fortune Best Places to Work for and Fortune 50 organizations on all of the above.
“I feel so lucky to have been a part of Limeade from the beginning,” said Laura. “It’s inspiring to see how the company has grown – while never wavering from its original mission of measurably improving well-being in the world through high-performing workforces.”
Laura comes to Limeade with more than two decades of HR expertise from Allstate, Bell Atlantic (now Verizon), Microsoft and her own consulting business. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
