Limeade CEO Joins More Than 550 CEOs in Unprecedented Commitment to Advance Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Companies Shared More Than 500 Actions to Advance Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace
Coalition Expands Reach and Impact in the Business Community
Bellevue, Wash., February 13, 2018 – Limeade CEO Henry Albrecht joins more than 550 CEOs and university presidents in the growing coalition, CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™. By joining, Albrecht is committing himself and Limeade to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
By signing on to this commitment, Limeade is pledging to take action to cultivate a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected and where employees feel encouraged to discuss diversity and inclusion. The coalition of more than 550 signatories have already shared more than 500 best known actions, exchanging tangible learning opportunities and creating collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.
“It’s been personally humbling to evaluate how my own social conditioning and how my words, actions and inactions might affect others. It’s not easy sometimes, but learning and change seldom are,” said Albrecht. “It’s transformative to see the kaleidoscope of human interactions, systems and cultures. And it’s totally possible to build a truly inclusive workforce.”
Limeade is a software company that elevates the employee experience and helps build great places to work. A year ago, the company launched Limeade Inclusion — a product designed to help large employers build more inclusive cultures at scale by measuring perceptions of inclusion and driving action through relevant activities for leaders, managers and employees.
In 2018 Limeade also launched an internal employee campaign called “Limeade Kaleidoscope” to foster more inclusion at Limeade. The campaign focused on inclusion education and training, technology to drive change and foster community, and the establishment of metrics and accountability.
Organizations joining the pledge are taking a step towards effecting positive change. A diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. A recent study found that 85 percent of those surveyed reported that diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.
CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is cultivating a new type of ecosystem centered around collaboration and sharing.
