Limeade Day of Care is a worldwide company day of service where LimeMates (what we call Limeade employees) take time out of their work day to help their community. As a company, Limeade is committed to purpose, meaning, community — and care. In fact, it’s an integral part of our business.
Limeade recently launched the Limeade Cares Foundation, an employee giving initiative focused on creating giving habits and providing support for employees to care for others. Inspired by Limeade Institute research on the relationship between care, well-being, inclusion and engagement, the Foundation offers LimeMates the opportunity to earn credits by participating in voluntary company activities, which they can then donate to the 501c3 charity of their choice. It also includes a 100% 2019 Foundation match from Limeade CEO, Henry Albrecht.
Limeade Day of Care
Since our employees are in the business of care, Limeade Day of Care is a way to pay it forward to the community. For employees at our Bellevue headquarters, we offer many pre-selected local opportunities to choose from, but all employees across the world have the option of serving an organization they are passionate about.
This year on August 16, nearly 100 LimeMates participated in Limeade Day of Care across the globe, with local LimeMates volunteering at organizations such as Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, Hunger Intervention Program, FareStart and more.
Limeade Day of Care is a volunteer day in addition to the dedicated volunteer hours that any LimeMate can take advantage of year-round. Thank you to all of the LimeMates who participated in Limeade Day of Care!
