Congrats to the We’re a Team award winners

The “Culture of Improvement” awards recognize LimeMates who exceptionally live the Limeade culture. The awards – Own It, Anything is Possible, Delight Customers, Speak Plainly, Be It and We’re a Team – ladder up to our six corporate values. An internal nomination committee reviews submissions from fellow LimeMates and selects the winners.

The We’re a team award goes to the team that modernized Team Challenges within our product.

Team challenges allow program participants to support each other in groups and push each other by competing against other groups at their organization. Based on what they learned from users, the team enhanced the team challenge experience to allow users to find teams and encourage each other.

What do you like most about your job?

The challenges — there’s always something new to look forward to on a daily or weekly basis.

Words you live by?

Be humble, assume the best in people and do your job well with few complaints.

How do you live “We’re a team?”

When I find issues that have a significant impact, I connect with the right people who can help investigate and make a recommendation or solve the issue and move on. As a team, we can make change happen.

What do you like most about your job?

My teammates and the work I do.

How do you destress?

If I’m in the office, I take a few deep breaths or go on a walk. Other times I go for a run, meditate, do yoga or listen to music.

How do you live “We’re a team?”

It’s hard for me to answer this because being part of the team feels like a natural state of being to me. When you work with your friends every day, it’s easy to be here, lift each other up and work well together.

What do you like most about your job?

There’s never a dull moment. Every day is different. Sometimes I’m rolling up my sleeves and testing the product; other days I’m talking to the people that buy and use our product.

If you could keep only five possessions, what would they be?

A computer, my guitar, a copy of “The Art of Innovation,” a journal for sketching and an espresso machine (beans included).

How do you live “We’re a team?”

As a product manager, I’m faced with the humbling fact that everything I work on wouldn’t exist without the team. I fully appreciate that everything we ship is a culmination of hard work from various disciplines.

What do you like most about your job?

Learning from users. Users’ behaviors can be surprisingly different from what we expected. It fascinates me when we test a new feature and end up seeing that the user’s actions aren’t how we hypothesized.

What’s a skill you’d like to learn?

Working on the design team, I have the amazing opportunity to watch our talented designers make inspiring and functional designs. I hope to continue learning from their experience.

How do you live “We’re a team?”

I’ve learned that to do my job best, I need to involve many people across (and even beyond) Limeade in my team. Oftentimes, the best ideas for new features come from people outside of the product team.
