Daniel Pink is the author of six provocative books about the changing world of work, including his latest, “WHEN: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing,” which has already spent three months on the New York Times bestseller list.
At Limeade Engage, Pink shared show-stopping research that made the audience reevaluate how they prioritize their time. His practical takeaways gave attendees compelling insights into how we can live richer, more engaged lives.
Pink revealed that people move through the day in three stages: a peak, a trough and a recovery. Each stage should be reserved for different types of work and rest.

Founder and CEO of futurethink, Lisa Bodell is the best-selling author of “Kill the Company,” and her latest “Why Simple Wins.” She is a recognized global leader on innovation foresight and change management, whose keynotes leave audiences inspired with a vision and armed with tools toward action.
Bodell shared that in the average organization, employees spend:
- 45 percent in meetings
- 23 percent emailing
- 18 percent doing unproductive work
- 14 percent doing ‘real’ work

Bersin took the conversation a step further by digging into the power of meaningful work, organizational support and how it’s crucial to put your people first. He also highlighted the importance of employee well-being.
Bersin predicts employee well-being will be elevated beyond benefits to the CHRO — it’s all about productivity, which impacts the bottom line.
