Limeade Global: From whole-person well-being to GDPR security compliance — how we’re different

At Limeade, we believe when an employer authentically invests in their people, their people will invest in the company. To drive real global employee engagement and well-being, you have to go beyond the basic steps challenge and immerse employees in a program that considers their whole person, whole company and whole ecosystem. That’s why we’re excited to share details about our comprehensive global offering.

Global employees need well-being too — and many of our customers have employees around the world. These employees need access to well-being activities that are truly tailored for their geography and cultural considerations.

Limeade Global is a comprehensive well-being and engagement program available in over 70 countries featuring:

  • 40+ meaningful, culturally-relevant activities — from drinking enough water, to preparing for your financial future, to having lunch with a coworker
  • 10 pre-translated languages
  • Privacy Shield compliant, GDPR compliance in progress
  • Experienced global account teams

Our activities support whole-person well-being — not just steps. We combine a culturally unifying experience with one that also feels very personal and locally relevant. And we take things to the next level with an immersive experience that:

  • Improves physical, emotional, financial and work well-being
  • Connects with peers, managers, teams, leaders and company strategy
  • Leverages every company capability and program

As an employee engagement company, we’ve had a long-standing commitment to data privacy and data security because we handle company, employee and other critical data every day. This is no different for our global programs, which are culturally relevant and adhere to global privacy and security laws. That’s why we’re currently Privacy Shield certified, which notes our commitment to safeguard the transfer of personal data and information between the EU and the U.S.

And soon, we’ll build on the foundation with our GDPR compliant as of May 2018.

Not familiar with GDPR? The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the EU. This regulation was adopted in 2016 and will take effect on May 25, 2018. The regulation is designed to protect personal data and regulate how organizations collect, transfer or process data.

The new GDPR outlines several principals for data protection such as the right to be informed, the right to access and the right to be forgotten among others. Limeade already complies with seven of these and we’re working on the last few. When they’re complete, we’ll update our Privacy Policy, which is reviewed and updated annually.

“Privacy and protection of personal information is paramount for enterprises and their people. We recognize the need for our policies to align with international best practices and global data protection laws.” – Faye Ricci, Limeade Data Protection Officer and Vice President of Legal

Any questions? Just let us know. We’re committed to protecting the privacy of our users — both here in the U.S and globally.
