This Week in Work: Twitter Stays at Home, Public Sector EX Struggles and The HR Tech Conference Is Just Around the Corner

Welcome to our weekly roundup of important workplace news, top media trends, current events and the latest from Limeade. At Limeade, we’re busy staying up to date with current events that impact employees and the workplace. This Week in Work highlights the latest industry news so you can be in the know, while at work.

This Week in Work:

1. Working From Home … Forever?

Companies around the world are taking notes as Twitter gradually dismantles its physical presence for the long term.

2. Getting Away With Workplace Harassment

A recent EEOC study found that only 30% of employees experiencing harassment make internal complaints, and less than 15% file formal legal charges.

3. EX in the Public Sector

Employee disengagement isn’t a new issue for government agencies — and COVID-19 has made it even worse. A recent Forrester report found that public sector employees scored much lower than the private sector in feeling empowered, inspired and enabled to do their best work.

4. Your Home Office Needs Covid-Proofing Too

Working remotely doesn’t mean throwing safety out the window. There are plenty of opportunities to apply COVID-19 protocols to your home office too.

5. Gearing Up For the HR Tech Conference

The biggest event in HR is virtual this year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store. Keynote speaker and analyst Stacia Garr of RedThread Research gives us a sneak peek into her session on remote work, EX and D&I (check out the full series of keynote Q&A’s too!)

Thanks for tuning in to This Week in Work — see you next week!
