We all know how important inclusion is to employees and companies — it’s definitively linked to better business results. Still, many Diversity and Inclusion leaders feel stuck and their organizations are struggling to take meaningful action. That’s why we established the Inclusion Consortium.

Join this like-minded group of HR leaders and industry experts each quarter to share insights and gather best practices for building and sustaining an inclusive workplace. Together, we’ll talk about what works, what to improve and how we can elevate the employee experience by focusing on inclusion.

Zack Rubinstein, Senior Program manager, Diversity & Inclusion Brand Expedia Group

Diversity & Inclusion, intersectionality, engagement, empathy, and fabulousness. Exploring ways to create and sustain inclusive action around the globe. Travel sparks inclusion!

The above are the principles I live and work by in my role as Program Manager at Expedia Group. Through communication, vulnerability, and empathy I have found that inclusion can be transformed to an individual’s needs and help facilitate success. All of this is only amplified when working in the travel and technology industry!

Prior to Expedia Group I worked at several different higher education institutions where I focused on developing the inclusive competencies and awareness for faculty, staff, and students. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Management & Policy and a Masters of Education in Community Engagement & Social Justice Education.

On a journey from flawed to flawsome through awareness, advocacy and action. Actively seeking like-minded cultural nomads.

I am a traveler, a culture changer, and Diversity & Inclusion program developer at Expedia Group, one of the world’s largest online travel companies. I am passionate about empowering people with the skills they need to build and sustain a culture based on the foundations of growth mindset, empathy, emotional intelligence, and inclusion.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Auburn at Montgomery, Alabama, with minors in American Literature and French. I am a 2017 graduate of Leadership Eastside, a program built on the principles of adaptive leadership. In 2018, I joined the Seattle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community of Practice Steering Committee.

A sense of belonging, connection and community at work. Inclusive organizations help people feel welcomed, known, valued — and encouraged to bring their whole, unique selves to work.
