Did you know April is National Stress Awareness Month? We all experience stress, see stats on stress and know it’s an issue. Thinking of new ways to address this stress is another matter. To get new ideas for our own relief, we turned to TED.com — our favorite resource for new inspiration and ideas. So in honor of this month, we encourage you to carve out 15 minutes for yourself to check out one of the great talks we found below. You’ll be anxiety-free in no time.

1. How to Make Stress Your Friend – Kelly McGonigal

In this captivating talk, Kelly McGonigal will change the way you think about stress. Her research shows that stress in itself isn’t actually bad for you at all. It’s only when we negatively view stress that it becomes detrimental to our health.

2. Got a Meeting? Take a Walk – Nilofer Merchant

Nilofer Merchant offers a seemingly simple solution to break up your day and get you away from your computer screen. He encourages us to take walking meetings and make meetings more productive AND fun. We’re huge fans of this here at Limeade. 3. The Art of Stress-Free Productivity – David Allen

Do you spend every morning looking at your to-do list to plan your day? David Allen has a different idea. He encourages appropriate engagement. This means our goal shouldn’t be to just get stuff done, but rather, appropriately engage with our lives. By allocating the right amount of time on the right things, we can alleviate unnecessary stress and procrastination.
